BCD/Harness

• Stainless Steel, aluminum or ABS back plate. Dry suit divers should use steel; wetsuit divers can use steel, aluminum or ABS. The harness should include a quick release buckle on left shoulder.
• D-Rings -- harness is to have at least 4 D-rings – one on each shoulder fixed at a 45 degree angle and one at each hip fixed at a 90 degree angle. The rings must be fixed at angles to simplify accessory attachment in the water.
• Shoulder harness pads and waistband pouches.
• Bladder wing 55 - 100 lbs. lift preferred. Single bladder for dry suit divers, double bladder for wet suit divers. LP inflator hose should reach chest level when suited up.

Regulators

• Two primary regulators are required, one with 7' hose and standard low-pressure inflator hose (for right hand outlet) the other with low-pressure inflator hose and brass SPG. All primary regulators are to be fitted with 300 bar DIN connections. Oxygen cleaning is recommended. Regulator on 7’ hose must have a breakaway clip for stowing regulator while on side mount tanks.
• Two stage regulators are required, both prepared for oxygen service fitted with a 6" to 7" HP hose fitted to a metal SPG, these are for decompression cylinders. It is best if you get colored faceplates, one green for your final deco mix and the other yellow for your stage or travel mix. The regulator hose should be 44 inches.

Instruments

• Decompression dive computer capable of at least 1 Nitrox mixture with a minimum capability of a 60 foot deco stop, download capability desirable. Preferred units have multi-gas capabilities.
• Electronic bottom timer / depth gauge. This can be another computer if it can be set to gauge mode.
• Compass not attached to a console or retractor.

Cylinders

• One set of double tanks fitted with a dual outlet isolation manifold, of no less than 140 cubic feet of gas. Oxygen cleaned cylinders recommended.
• Two cylinders of at least 30 cubic feet capacity each to be used as stage and deco bottles. These tanks must be cleaned and prepared for oxygen service.

Exposure Suit

• A Dry Suit is recommended for all dives where average water temp is 75 or less because of extended dive times. A swivel chest inflator or one that receives hose from left side recommended. Underwear as appropriate for conditions. If you are using a wet suit you must have a redundant bladder in your wings.

Lights

• Primary light is a canister light with "Goodman Handle" preferred. Up to 90 minute burn time recommended.
• At least one, preferably two backup lights. The 3 C cell lights work well.

Reels

• Primary reel with 250’ of line
• Safety reel with 150’ of line. Low profile finger reels are best.

Cutting tools

• Shears
• Line cutter or very sharp knife

Accessories

• Lift bag with 50 lbs. of lift or more
• Yellow safety sausage
• Two slates – one wrist and one small slate that will fit in your pouch
• Back up mask with waist band pouch
• Jon line
• Spare parts/tool kit sufficient for servicing his or her own gear. This would include any special regulator plugs, o-rings, replacement batteries, mask straps, fin straps, zip ties, etc. Some small tools that fit your equipment are also a good idea.
• Minimum of 20 feet of 3/8 inch diameter bungee. Black or blue is preferred.
• Variety of stainless or bronze snap clips for stage bottle rigging, clipping regulators, etc.
